The Library and Information System

accompanies students and researchers in all stages of learning and research and provides a wealth of information in a wide range of disciplines. In the library’s collection you will find over a  million books, printed and electronic, journal, catalogs and indexes, online databases and innovative discovery tools that address a range of topics, as well as access to research tools and leading instructional programs.

In accordance with the special character of Bar Ilan University, the library is in the process of developing the collection in Jewish studies, and today it is the second largest collection in Israel on this subject.

 The library also has a comprehensive, respectable collection of rare books and manuscripts. 

The Library and Information System consists of 29 departmental libraries. The collections provided in each library reflect the relevant fields of knowledge and research in addition to providing innovative learning spaces, which enable productive and enjoyable learning. Furthermore, each library has a professional team of librarians who accompany all visitors to the library providing advanced reference services, personal and group instruction, borrowing and lending services and scanning services.

All services are provided within the libraries or remotely, by Zoom, email and phone.
